Dr. Benjamin Brinkmann, houseman/intern in the "Schwarzwaldklinik" (Black Forest Clinic/Hospital), experiences by his wife, Dr. Sophie Brinkmann, from the rumor that the clinic/hospital was sold. After he sees, how the personnel is concerned because of the rumor, Benjamin goes to his superior, Prof. Köhler. By him he experiences that the clinic/hospital was actually sold to a private investor, Karl Seeberg, who wants to close the clinic/hospital and make from it a senior home. Benjamin also informs his half brother, in the meantime Prof. Dr. Udo Brinkmann, about the problem. Udo sees the only chance in convincing Karl Seeberg that the hospital is on a long-term basis more profitable. Former auxiliary Michael "Mischa" Burgmann can help with Udo former "Oberschwester" (senior nursing officer/ head nurse) Hildegard Vogt, after she suffered a lumbago.

Peggy Rosinski lives in a shabby neighborhood in Frankfurt/Oder. The patchwork mom has three children, but only one of them is from her current husband Torben. She also works two different jobs to make ends meet and reduce her mountain of debt. Meanwhile, the eldest of the Rosinskis, Angelique, only hangs out with her new boyfriend Devid and the youngest, Finn, is teased by his classmates because of his family's poverty. When Torben loses his job, Peggy is at a loss. Her mother Angelika knows what to do, as she has been earning a few cents for years through illegal activities. But does Peggy really want to get involved in this kind of business?

Engelbrecht is an aging teddy boy, and collects records from his prime years; Marlene lives in a nearby apartment and she is lonely and has designs on Engelbrecht. He hates dogs, and is running a small crusade against them, and the younger generation seems to be thinking about nothing much else but sex.

Oliver Kalkofe and Peter Rütten show the worst movies of all time and comment on them.
